Steve Hippel manages all accounting and finance functions for Senior Lifestyle in his role as Chief Financial Officer. Steve oversees the development and analysis of the budgets, financial reports and financial trends, provides strategic financial input and leadership on the evaluation of acquisitions, optimizes banking relationships, and initiates appropriate strategies. Steve evaluates and guides the structure, efficiency, and effectiveness of the accounting and finance team.
Prior to joining Senior Lifestyle, Steve served in various roles at Inland Diversified Real Estate Trust, Inc., a public, non-traded real estate investment trust, beginning in 2009 as Chief Accounting Officer and Treasurer until 2012 when he assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer. In 2004, Steve served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for ORIX Real Estate Capital, Inc., a wholly owned real estate subsidiary of ORIX USA Corporation. In 2002, Steve served as Portfolio Accounting Manager with Shorenstein Company, a privately held real estate investment firm specializing in the ownership and management of office properties. A year after joining Shorenstein, he was promoted to Vice President of Accounting and Finance. Steve began his career in public accounting in 1995 at Deloitte & Touche, where he held roles of progressive responsibility before being named Manager in 2000.
