Each year Senior Lifestyle Corporation recognizes outstanding employees for the SLC National Heart of Caring Award. Awards are given to one employee from each of our service levels – independent, assisted, skilled and memory care. Nominations for the Heart of Caring Award come from employees, residents and family members; be sure to explain the award and distribute the nomination forms, see below for criteria to consider for nominations.
Our communities have wonderful stories to share about the quiet heroes who serve our residents and work to create extraordinary customer experiences every day. This is an ideal time to honor the SLC employee whose performance most exemplifies a true "heart of caring" .
SLC National Heart of Caring Award Process:
During the month of January, each community collects nominations for the "Heart of Caring Award". Nominations can be submitted by staff, residents and family members. (See nomination form)
Each community will select 1-4 staff nominations (depending on the services levels at the community) to represent the community in the national award.
Recognition at the community level: Recognize the community winners with a special certificate, pin, and/or monetary gift at the community level. (Executive Directors have discretion for awards.)
All community level winners will be sent to the Corporate Office (Attn: RonnDa Peters), complete with written comments and electronic photo submitted by the Executive Director by February 1st. The nominations should give detailed descriptions and examples as to why those community winners should be chosen for the SLC National Heart of Caring Award.
National Recognition: National winners will be announced in February. The national winners will receive a cash prize and a special recognition celebration at the community.
