Many of the costs are included in rent, making budgeting for monthly expenses easier. Compared to other lifestyle options, Independent Living is usually cheaper than Assisted Living.

Most states do not offer Medicaid for Independent Living, however, we always recommend checking your state’s Medicaid website for the most current information and regulations.

The age requirement varies by community, but typically residents must be 62 and above.
