The retirement community was recently expanded and now offers 208 spacious independent living apartments and 66 assisted living suites, all connected by enclosed covered hallways to the community center and charming dining room. A home health care program can be provided for temporary illness. To complete the continuum of care a state of the art skilled nursing rehab facility was completed fall, 2002. During the past fourteen years, the staff at Bellingham has provided a full and active life style for its residents - companionship, new interests, entertainment, well-balanced meals, and peace of mind. You can enjoy using the 18th century Farm/Clubhouse, Billiard Room, Exercise Room, Library, Auditorium, Full Service Beauty Salon, Bank, Country Store, Thrift Shop and the convenience of a Physician's practice on the premises. We also have our own bus for trips to the nearby markets, mall and interesting excursions.

Assisted living is intended for those who should not live alone and require a little extra help with daily living tasks, but not the regimented constant care, supervision or medical services of a nursing facility. Our 24 hour staff is known for attentive, personal service and they meet the residents’ needs in a warm and courteous manner. To assure the quality of care, our staffing ratio is higher than required by our licensing agency. This lifestyle provides a sense of security and peace of mind for loved ones. Included in the monthly fee are:
- Three meals a day, with breakfast delivered to each apartment and lunch and dinner being a time for socializing in a charming dining room.
- Independence is encouraged but personal assistance may include any or all of the following: bathing, dressing, grooming, medication, supervised walking and help with making medical appointments. Other benefits are an exercise program, a wellness program and regular health monitoring.
- All utilities, emergency call system (excludes telephone charges), wired for cable TV, housekeeping, towels and weekly bed linens, personal laundry, maintenance, security and planned activities.
