100 Days of Heart of Caring

Jenny Stafford
LPN, Brookstone Estates of Olney

Loneliness continues to appear as a significant challenge facing seniors, particularly during transition periods where they may be moving away from friends or family. For today’s Heart of Caring nominee, this loneliness is where she seeks to apply her heart of caring the most.

“[Jenny] will go check on residents and sit with them and talk for awhile and make sure they are not lonely.”

“She will go above and beyond and get to know the residents and families. She will talk to residents every day and be in there awhile just so the residents can talk and give the residents some companionship.”

Jenny will not only go above any beyond to build relationships with residents, but also with her team members. Her heart of caring compels her to check on staff and residents alike to see if there’s any additional ways she can support them at Brookstone Estates of Olney.

“She will go to residents and staff to check on them daily and make sure everything is alright…she is the most hardworking staff member.”

Jenny’s heart of caring and her ability to intentionally build deeper relationships with residents makes all the difference, and we’re excited to celebrate this nomination. Congratulations, Jenny, and thank you for all you do!
