Richman Gardens Memory Care

Since 1983, Richman Gardens has been providing first-class Memory Care for loved ones who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia. Located in beautiful Fullerton, California, our community empowers residents with the physical and emotional support they need from experienced care professionals. We would love for you to visit us with your family and loved ones and see for yourself!

With our convenient location near downtown Fullerton, a host of dedicated services, and a wide array of amenities, each resident’s wants and needs are carefully tended to in an atmosphere dedicated to the closeness of family and friends. Residents enjoy taking walks along our serene walking paths through the beautiful rose gardens, as well as relaxing with friends on our patios. Our community is designed to promote independence and socializing without compromising safety.

At Richman Gardens, we have a tremendously gifted and caring staff who are here assist all of our residents with whatever they want or need. Our chefs serve up delicious home-cooked meals in our elegant dining room, and a separate private dining room is available for entertaining friends and family.

At Richman Gardens, we adhere to the highest level of professional standards. Our staff participates in ongoing training in areas such as philosophy of care, behavioral management, and effective communication. We have been working with many of our trusted care partners for more than 20 years.

Our Memory Care residents and residents’ families receive valuable peace of mind knowing that licensed nursing staff is available 24 hours a day and an emergency call response and security system is in place for residents with dementia. Prior to moving in we speak with you and your physician to find just the right level of assistance that will allow you to enjoy your independence to the fullest. Together, we will compose an Individual Service Plan (ISP) to guide us in assisting you. Nurses and resident assistants are always available to assist with medication administration, incontinence care, and the activities of daily life. Our mission is to provide a lifestyle that fosters independence, actively engages the mind, invigorates the body and nurtures the spirit while offering you and your loved ones the peace of mind you deserve.

While some communities insist on new residents putting down huge, non-refundable payments up-front, we like to do things a little differently. We care about not only the physical and emotional well being of our residents, but their financial health as well. That’s why we offer our residents all the perks of country club living without the expensive buy-in—just a simple lease.

Richman Gardens has 12 apartment homes that can be private or shared. Further detail regarding floor plans, amenities, and more can be found along the sidebar to the left.

“Our mother has been here for a few years now. Suffering early dementia then breaking her hip and never recovering from it.  The dementia has progressed.  We have grown to care about the staff and other residents here over the time .  The staff is always responsive and kind.  They have an open door policy 24 hrs a day. ..meaning you can just come anytime to visit without calling…and I have.   The gardens are always beautiful and well kept.  This is a smaller facility only 26 beds I believe.  After checking out larger ones my sister and I decided this was best for mom and us. It is a homey place not hospital  like at all.  They could use a larger dining room but they always make it comfortable I myself have eaten with my mom there and the residents capable of interacting do so around the table. They move with your loved one here all the way through even hospice care.  It is a sweet little neighborhood and across from a nice park.  Once a month they have a wonderful family day with lunch and some entertainment to celebrate a holiday with your loved one.   Every time I have come over the last years every patient is up ..bathed and dressed for the day.  Even those who are now slipping further away are still in the group room for music or movie time.   Most of the residents are Alzheimer’s and or dementia and their job is not easy…but I have been here enough to see how they are trained to redirect any outbursts which can happen with dementia.. They have been nothing but kind and patient to my mom with her dementia even when I have not been. I have personally  witnessed the tears from staff when a resident passed is tough for them too I am sure when my mom leaves this world I will always be grateful for them”

“My mother was at Richman Gardens in Fullerton for over 3 years and has just passed away at the age of 88. She had dementia, COPD, and heart problems. I can’t say enough about this facility, the workers were always friendly and very helpful and always gave my mother the best care possible even if she didn’t want it. They always called me right away if something wasn’t right about my mom and I trusted them with my mom. She loved the place and wasn’t scared there at all. The place is small only 26 beds but that is exactly what I liked about it! The gardens are amazing and very relaxing.”
