Testimonials for Amethyst Arbor
We can talk all day about how great our communities are, but we think you should hear from people who have experienced first-hand how we offer an unmatched quality of life at every senior living community.
The community is very nice. The staff is excellent in everyway. The community is very clean and taken care of. The meals are good. Alot of great activities . Great for loved ones needing good care.
The Addison of Pleasant Prairie was brand new. The staff was very good and helpful in explaining everything.
My Dad and my Aunt are both at Amethyst Arbors and we are really pleased with this community. I would recommend this place and in fact have already recommended to other family members. Most of the staff is a 5, but the front desk lady brings the score down. The rest of them are outstanding.
We are learning the way they do things. They have tons of activities and fun things, but my dad and Aunt haven’t participated. I’m hoping that when I have time to go and participate with them they will enjoy it. I like the food. This week they are raving about the food. My Aunt loves it.
I also thank A Place For Mom for helping and being amazing with information about communities. I’m so thankful for them. It worked out how it was supposed to.
My parents have only been residents for a week, but so far, all preliminary dealings (sales, leasing, nurse evaluation, etc.) have been so positive. Personnel have gone out of their way to be pleasant and accommodating….above and beyond what they needed to.
Any time there is a problem or question, they respond and take care of it right away. The food is also really good!
The quality of service at the Inn at Amethyst is truly outstanding. I took a friend’s grandmother to view the facility, and though she was a little nervous at first, the staff were so personable and made her feel very welcome. We joined in an activity they were having and she had the greatest time socializing and making new friends. Following the activity, we enjoyed dinner in the dining room, and she fell in love with the meatloaf gravy and mashed potatoes. She said that it was absolutely the epitome of a home cooked meal. She said the food alone was worth making the move to the facility. When it was time to leave, I practically had to pull her out of there! I was incredibly happy with how the staff made her feel so welcome. They almost instantly put any anxiety she may have been feeling to rest by introducing her to residents and getting her involved with the activities. They gave her an idea of what a typical day living there would be like, and I think that really helped her to feel more comfortable with the impending transition from her own home to her assisted living home. She realized that her life there was not going to impose the boring and sedentary lifestyle she had been afraid of. Instead she found that the Inn at Amethyst supports and encourages a very active and healthy lifestyle and they going even further in this support by offering residents a wide variety of different activities to choose from each month. She really fell in love with the Inn at Amethyst and I was very impressed with the quality of service and care that I observed.
I never thought my mother would be as happy as she is now. My mother is as happy as she can be. She loves the food. She just loves everything about it. It has been a great experience. I would highly recommend the Amethyst Arbors to anyone looking for a nice place to put their loved ones at. It’s very clean and well kept. The staff is very nice and helpful.
“This is probably the best place I have toured so far.” – apfm_family
“My mom insisted she would never move into a Senior Living Facility. She said she was going to stay in her home forever. It took two years to demonstrate to her the benefits of moving into a place where she has a built in community of like minded people, all meals provided, lots of activities and a safe living space. Our family looked for several years and as soon as we saw Amethyst Arbors we knew we had found a home for mom. She has been there for 4 months and absolutely loves it. We couldn’t ask for a better home for her. When I call her or visit, she tells me all she has done in the day. Wow! She is so social, which is in stark contrast to her lonely days spent in her former home of 25 years. I am so much happier because I know she is in a safe and caring environment. But most importantly, she is truly happy. She deserve that.” – Megan O
“A wonderful place for my husband who needs care as his mind is frequently confused. He enjoys being there in the safe and well maintained environment.” – N/A
“This is a facility with three buildings on 28 acres of land. It is nice adobe style buildings with a wall around it. The buildings are two and three stories. The grounds are nice with trees, shrubs, and grass. They have studio, one and two bedroom in the independent building with handicapped equipped and an emergency system. The three buildings are independent, assisted, and memory care. There is a nice central dining room which serves three meals and snacks. There is a good variety and food is good. There is one dining room for each building. They have a fitness room, library, movie room, sitting areas, beauty salon, and activity room. They have housekeeping weekly. They have doctors who come in, nurse on duty and on call, and certified caregivers. They work with hospice and therapies. They can transport to appointments. The staff is very caring. They have several beautiful courtyards to walk and sitting ateas which are shaded. They have greenhouses for residents as well. They do seven activities a day as, exercises, bingo, tea parties, entertainment, movies, arts and crafts. They go on outings shopping, casinos, and other events.
