Acclaim at East Beach, Norfolk’s Newest Senior Living Community,
Celebrates Grand Opening
NORFOLK, Virginia – September 9, 2021 – Senior Lifestyle Corporation and Bonaventure are pleased to announce their joint venture and the grand opening of Acclaim at East Beach, a new luxury senior living community located in the East Ocean View neighborhood of Norfolk, Virginia. Acclaim at East Beach serves as part of the revitalization of The Little Creek Marina. The 132-unit apartment community recently welcomed its first residents with immediate move-ins available.

The Grand Opening will be held on Tuesday, September 14, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. The invite-only reception will include a mermaid theme in honor of the City of Norfolk’s logo and the Norfolk Mermaids. The event will begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony and feature a signature “Southern Belle” cocktail as well as locally crafted beer from COVA, wine from Mermaid Winery, and catering by the community dining staff.

At Acclaim at East Beach, residents can socialize with their peers, take advantage of the scenic beauty, and spend time enjoying the activities that fit their lifestyle. The community includes a bistro-inspired restaurant with dishes created by a professionally trained kitchen staff and sourced from local ingredients. The community also offers an array of amenities including a library, business center, dog wash station, private dining, catering services, and a thriving social scene. A few perks for residents include entertainment in the Hampton Theater, classes in the Tidewater Art studio, and on-site beauty services at The Bay Breeze Spa and salon. Residents can spend time exploring the fitness center, enjoying the heated indoor pool, making new friends in the game room, or watching the sunset in the outdoor promenade.
Apartment homes at Acclaim at East Beach include studio, one and two-bedroom options with spacious floor plans ranging in size from 575 square feet to 1,133 square feet. Interiors include full kitchens, walk-in closets and in-unit washer and dryers. The “golf cart” style community is walkable to the shores of Chesapeake Bay as well as several shops and restaurants. Residents and guests are invited to enjoy the marina and boardwalk views from their private balconies.
Many levels of care will be offered at Acclaim at East Beach. For residents who need additional assistance, Assisted Living and Memory Care will soon be housed on the same campus, a first for Norfolk senior living. Construction on Phase 2 is scheduled to begin shortly.
