Testimonials for Lake Wylie
We can talk all day about how great our communities are, but we think you should hear from people who have experienced first-hand how we offer an unmatched quality of life at every senior living community.
“I visited this facility as a member of Mom’s group who brought our children in to visit with / enjoy crafts with the residents. We visited on several different occasions. Lake Wylie is a really pretty facility situated in a small town in South Carolina very near the North Carolina border. Though it is on a busier road, the facility itself is set far enough back from the road so as to make it feel comfortable and allow for ample outdoor space for the residents to enjoy. Inside, there is a beautiful home like feel with small apartments available for each resident. I really like the feel of these because they allow the residents to have a “home”, rather than just a “room”. The apartments I visited were always clean and well kept so it’s obvious that housekeeping does a good job assisting all of the residents. In addition, the hallways and reception area were always very neat, clean and odor free. The residents here are quite independent in nature, and are encouraged to be that way as much as possible. Nurses and other staff are available to help them with their daily needs but also seem to respect them as adults and allow them to make their own decisions, engage in activities of their choice (there are a million different activities available! Often when we tried to schedule our children’s visits we had to work hard with the activity staff just to find a time frame that would fit into the resident’s busy schedules) and live the lifestyle they choose. Whenever we visited the residents appeared happy and as if their cares were well met. I saw staff address them by name, smile and appear happy to be at their jobs. I appreciated the personal way in which they communicated and interacted with the residents at the facility. There also always seemed to be plenty of staff available and so my opinion is that the staff to resident ratio is very good here. Overall I would give this facility a very positive rating. I always felt as if the residents were living comfortably here and the ones I met expressed that they were happy and felt well cared for. I would place a loved one here if the need arose and recommend the facility to friends and family.” – cdayton
“This will likely be the next choice should my father decide he no longer wishes or is able to live with us.” -apfm_family
“close…nice place… Went to family night party…” – apfm_family
“Lake Wylie Assisted Living is located in beautiful Lake Wylie, South Carolina. The facility is absolutely beautiful, and the floor plans are very desirable. Their staff is of high quality. I ranked the food at only three stars, as I have never eaten there. I have observed the clients while they ate, and everyone seemed very pleased. Lake Wylie Assisted Living is high on my referral list for my clients.” – Certified Dementia Specialist/Placement Specialist
“I became involved with Lake Wylie Assisted Living Community because they were offering Educational Classes on Parkinson’s. I liked the idea that they invited the outside community in for the series. I later decided to move into Lake Wylie Assisted Living Community as a permanent resident due to convience within the area. I always look forward to the weekly Walmart trips, as well as the bingo games.I enjoy a variety of board games and here at Lake Wylie Assisted Living you can always find someone to challange you in a friendly game. Staff is very versatile and helpful to make our lives at Lake Wylie Assisted Living comfortable.” – 1 Year Resident
“I reluctantly had to put my 100 -year- old mother in an assisted living facility. Trusting her care in someone else’s hands was not an easy thing to do, but fortunately the decision turned out to be a good one. She receives professional and loving care from the staff at Lake Wylie, and also from the Agape (Hospice) caregivers who are with her daily. Special thanks to the director too. She doesn’t hide behind her office door, but instead is very hands on. In short, my mother is in good hands at Lake Wylie Assisted LIving.” – Don Jeffries
“Lake Wylie was nice. It was more like a community type of facility. It was clean and well kept. We had a tour there and the staff treated us well.” – Katherine10
When you talk about making a wise decision, then count me in!
Lake Wylie Assisted Living Community has turned out to be wonderful.
One of the great things about Lake Wylie Assisted Living Community is that I am able to have my precious dog, Sammie Girl, whom I have had for many years. It amazes me how well she has fit in.
Staff is very friendly. They provide me with the essentials as well as great smiles, encouraging words and just all around kindness.
I love the food here and I have made great new friends. My table mates and I are always telling jokes or planning the next outing, whether it is Hamrick’s to shop or one of our favorite restaurants to eat.
There are activities such as Bead Work, Painting and Cooking in the Country Kitchen. I myself enjoy knitting for my family and making cards with beads for the holidays. Everyone here loves them so I’m planning to start a class in the near future. Every day is a new day here at Lake Wylie Assisted Living Community with endless possibilities. And I’m always ready for tomorrow.
We are in the process of moving my mother into Lake Wylie Assisted Living. To date, everyone has made the process as easy as possible. I have been provided with clear and helpful information about the process. Everyone has been very flexible in their schedules to accommodate ours. My mother is excited about moving in and everyone has been so friendly and open with her.
Thanks to all the staff I have met so far at Lake Wylie Assisted Living. I hope my mother has many happy years there!
