Egg Harbor Township is also less than an hour’s drive away from the Tuckahoe Wildlife Management Area. This 15,000-acre nature preserve includes salt marsh, woodland and fresh water rivers. Visitors can encounter lots of diverse wildlife, including birds, turtles, frogs and a variety of mammals.

For seniors who enjoy biking, the Atlantic County Bikeway is a 7.5-mile bike and pedestrian path that takes walkers and bikers through Egg Harbor Township. Visitors can park at one of three trail head areas to access the path.
