In many instances, caring and kindness are obvious; in others, caring comes in the form of quiet perseverance and determination to stand by our core values day-in and day-out. Today’s nominee is an example of that everyday heart of caring we seek in all our team members.
“She embraces all of the core values and it shows in the work she does for the residents. She stays connected to the facility 24/7…she cares about them, listens to them and looks out for them. She is an example for all to follow.”
“She maintains a positive demeanor at all times and encourages others to excel. She offers examples of how to do/say things. She pitches in and helps whenever needed, without being asked.”
Deborah’s can-do attitude persists even during some of the most challenging moments of being a caregiver. She uses her heart of caring to create a safe, comforting environment for each and every resident she cares for.
“We have a resident who just will not shower. Debbie has done everything imaginable…she hosted an after-shower PJ party, she bought the resident new clothes. She tried and tried and tried, never giving up.”
