The American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA) was originally formed as a committee of the National Multi Housing Council in 1991, and became an independent non-profit organization ten years later on January 1, 2001.

Members of ASHA are executives involved in the operation, development and finance of the entire spectrum of seniors housing - senior apartments, independent living communities, assisted living residences, and continuing care retirement communities. ASHA's membership consists of both for-profit and not-for-profit operators, lenders and investors, and other prominent professionals. The Association's membership owns and/or manages an estimated 500,000 units of seniors housing in the U.S., with properties located in all 50 states, Canada, and Europe.

International Council on Active Aging (ICAA) was founded in the belief that unifying the efforts of the organizations focused on older adults benefits both the people they reach and the organizations themselves. Today, the vision is shared by over 5,000 organizations connected to the ICAA network.

Whether retirement community, seniors center or fitness club, all ICAA members share a common interest in reaching older adults with active-aging messages, facilities, programs and guidance. The ICAA supports these professionals and organizations with education, information, resources and tools so they can achieve optimal success with this market.

The Meals On Wheels Association of America (MOWAA) is the oldest and largest organization in the United States representing those who provide meal services to people in need.  MOWAA works toward the social, physical, nutritional, and economic betterment of vulnerable Americans. The Meals On Wheels Association of America provides the tools and information its programs need to make a difference in the lives of others. It also gives cash grants to local senior meal programs throughout the country to assist in providing meals and other nutrition services.
