Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Maintenance Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis in Holland, United States. In this role, you will be an essential part of our facilities management team, ensuring our property remains in top condition and our residents are satisfied.

• Complete work orders and general maintenance tasks throughout the community
• Perform repairs and prepare apartments for new move-ins
• Assist with installations and repairs involving plumbing, electrical equipment, carpentry, and painting
• Maintain and repair various types of equipment
• Participate in landscaping and snow removal activities as needed
• Order and organize maintenance supplies
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects
• Communicate effectively with residents and staff regarding maintenance issues
• Adhere to safety procedures and regulations at all times

Qualifications

• General mechanical and/or electrical knowledge preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Self-motivated with a can-do attitude and ability to work independently
• Detail-oriented approach to tasks and projects
• Physical ability to perform various maintenance activities
• Basic computer skills for managing work orders and inventory
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and emergency situations
• Commitment to safety and following proper procedures
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous maintenance experience is a plus, but not required
• Valid driver's license may be necessary for certain tasks
