Job Description

Position Summary: This position is responsible for providing assistance to residents in assisted living with their activities of daily living, enabling them to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity. This position reports to the Health and Wellness Director. Essential Functions: • Provide assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living. • Follow the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor. • Provide emotional and social support to residents. • Document daily log of assistance. • Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns. • Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents. • Respect residents’ confidentiality. Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information. • Familiarity with emergency equipment and procedures. • Perform other duties as assigned.

This position also has potential for FT hours


Level of Formal Education: A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Area of Study: General Years of Experience: 1+ years of experience preferred Type of Experience: Senior care or related field Special Certifications: May require a CNA or CHHA licensure Language Skills: Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations. Technical Competencies: Basic computer skills Skills and Ability: • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, employees and outside contacts. • Possess strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Information Systems: n/a Personal Attributes: High tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations in a calm and professional manner
