In this role you will be responsible for providing assistance to residents, guests and vendors in the community.

Job Description

• Ensures Bar is fully stocked (including drinks, mixers, alcohol, garnishes, glasses and light bar bites); facilitates ABC orders with Dining Director.
• Ensured responsible beverage service (no one is overserved).
• Assists with light food prep.
• May assist with training other employees.
• May assist in table service (to fill in as needed).
• Ensures beverage orders are delivered promptly.
• Ensures side work is completed for each shift.
• Takes food orders, presents to kitchen staff and delivers meal to residents and guests in a proper and timely manner in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards.
• Ensures resident guest satisfaction.
• Responds quickly to resident or guest requests.
• Reports any resident comments or concerns to Dining Services Manager immediately.
• Assists in bussing and resetting tables.
• Assists in room services as needed.
• Complies with all state and county health codes for food handling.
• Attends all in-services training and pre-shift meetings.
• Handles china, glassware and equipment safely and quietly to minimize breakage.
• Performs all duties in adherence to Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards.
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of Senior Lifestyle Corporation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• No experience required, but previous Food Service experience is a plus.
• Serv Safe or other required local, county or state certifications.
• You have the ability to switch tasks quickly and often.
• You take pride in the quality and presentation of food that you have helped to prepare, as well as the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas that you work within.
• You have a generous amount of patience and the ability to effectively communicate with many different types of personalities.
