General cleaning of resident apartments, hallways and other common areas. Assist in preparing empty apartments for resident move-ins. Ensure resident/guest satisfaction by responding quickly to needs and requests.  You may be asked to help respond to resident emergencies. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.

Provide kind, caring, and consistent companionship and support to residents. Provide assistance, encouragement, and restorative interventions, as needed, for Memory Care residents to be as independent as possible in their activities of daily living including but not limited to: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility. Participate in and lead one on one and group activities. Serve residents during mealtime, assist with memory care laundry, and basic housekeeping within the memory care neighborhood. Ensure that resident/family/employee concerns receive timely response and follow up, thus striving to provide a high level of customer satisfaction. Assist with maintenance tasks at the community as needed. Transport residents and perform community errands as assigned.  Ensure that all residents who use the transportation are returned safely to the building. Assist all residents in and out of the vehicle as needed.  Maintain cleanliness of vehicle by performing and/or scheduling regular interior/exterior cleaning. Report mechanical needs and repairs and assist in coordination to have repairs completed.

Provide direct and individualized nursing care to assigned residents based on established nursing protocol. Observe and assess for: pain/discomfort, oxygen therapy, all drainage, all dressings, and any incontinent elimination which may have occurred.  Provide ignition and ongoing systematic assessment of the physical, emotional, social, educational, and functional needs of the resident/family through observation, interview, and physical examination.  Interpret assessment data and information to assist in developing a plan of care.  Assure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately and timely and integrate the medical care plan into the provision of nursing care. Assure that medication administration is correct, according to the established nursing policies and procedures. Provide accurate and timely documentation consistent with the resident plan of care.  Administer medication per physician orders. Document properly on MOR. Observe for any adverse reaction.  Assemble resident charts, resident records, and assure all necessary form are completed in a timely manner. Assure all monthly summaries are completed in a timely manner for assigned residents.  Prepare incident/accident reports for residents as needed per policy, notify AL Director, physician, and family post incident per policy and document accordingly.  Assist resident in learning self-care activities.  Supervise all resident assignments to nursing team members, and assure special instructions are given to team members.  Observe and supervise all meals to ensure residents receive the proper diet and any assistance required.  Monitor and organize all material resources necessary for meeting needs of assigned unit.  Recognize emergencies and life-threatening situations and initiate appropriate action. Ensure that resident call lights are promptly answered, and their needs are addressed timely and appropriately.  Assist with the orientation of new staff members.  Ensure that all scheduled activities take place on assigned unit by utilizing activity personnel and/or nursing personnel. 

Prepare all food using the daily planner and SLC standard recipes. Work the food line during mealtimes. Ensure that all food meets safety guidelines and that all kitchen areas meet sanitation guidelines. Ensure resident and guest satisfaction by responding quickly to needs and requests.  Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.

Follow Company Dining Policy and Procedures and while ensuring that all department personnel are compliant as well.  Responsible for the purchasing of all dining food and nonfood items and ensure all purchases for the department achieve 95% DSSI ordering compliance.  Balance and maintain budgets for raw food and supplies. Utilize company standard recipes when completing food production for meals. Ensure that food is served at proper temperature and in proper portion sizes to ensure food safety and palatability according to our food temperature policy.   Ensure that residents’ Prescribed Diets are offered when applicable. Drive high satisfaction by offering our residents choice, dignity and independence in dining according to our hospitality and customer service policy.  Ensure operating and cleaning instructions/procedures are developed and implemented for the department.  Perform Pre-meal Dining Stand-Up with service staff to review daily menu details. Know and adhere to all company and the local, state, and county health departments regulations and acts as the community’s dietary representative for any health department or other required inspections; assure compliance, follow-up to assure any deficiencies are immediately corrected. Ensure all dining areas are clean and safely operating, completes monthly Self Sanitation audit according to the sanitation audit tool and operation and sanitation policies.   Interview, manage, train, hire, discipline, and terminate all dining staff personnel as needed. Oversee the scheduling of all food service personnel to maintain compliance with labor budget.
