Director of Dining Services

Follow Company Dining Policy and Procedures and while ensuring that all department personnel are compliant as well.  Responsible for the purchasing of all dining food and nonfood items and ensure all purchases for the department achieve 95% DSSI ordering compliance.  Balance and maintain budgets for raw food and supplies. Utilize company standard recipes when completing food production for meals. Ensure that food is served at proper temperature and in proper portion sizes to ensure food safety and palatability according to our food temperature policy.   Ensure that residents’ Prescribed Diets are offered when applicable. Drive high satisfaction by offering our residents choice, dignity and independence in dining according to our hospitality and customer service policy.  Ensure operating and cleaning instructions/procedures are developed and implemented for the department.  Perform Pre-meal Dining Stand-Up with service staff to review daily menu details. Know and adhere to all company and the local, state, and county health departments regulations and acts as the community’s dietary representative for any health department or other required inspections; assure compliance, follow-up to assure any deficiencies are immediately corrected. Ensure all dining areas are clean and safely operating, completes monthly Self Sanitation audit according to the sanitation audit tool and operation and sanitation policies.   Interview, manage, train, hire, discipline, and terminate all dining staff personnel as needed. Oversee the scheduling of all food service personnel to maintain compliance with labor budget.

Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) – Assisted Living (AL)

Responsible for supervision of self-administered medication for the Assisted Living Department in compliance with Federal & State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines as directed by the LPN/LVN/RN and/or the Assisted Living Director/Health and Wellness Director. Count and sign on approved form, all narcotics with approved personnel before accepting medication keys.  Contact a supervisor immediately with discrepancies. Order all necessary medication and treatments from appropriate pharmacy or notify responsible party when supply is no less than 7 days. Notify supervisor when supply is less than 2 days and medicine hasn’t been received. Responsible for receiving and verifying all medicine received is accurate according to pharmacy label and MAR.  Notifies pharmacy and DH&W of any discrepancies. Responsible for proper storage of all medications and ensuring all lotions, ointments and liquids stored separately from oral medications. Responsible for dating all appropriate vials or bottles at time of initial opening and following pharmacy protocol on length of time they can be used. Responsible for weekly inspections of all medications to ensure all expired medications are removed. Responsible for verifying all current MARs are compared to new MARs at change over time and notifying the supervisor of any discrepancies. Responsible for removing all discontinued medication from med cart and giving it to the supervisor. Provide personal care to residents to include, but not limited to, bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence care, and eating, etc. Provide general nursing care to include, but not limited to, vital signs, temperatures, blood pressure, and weights. Document appropriate information in the daily log as required and notify supervisor of all concerns. Answer calls and assist residents with needs as assigned. Responsible for daily cleaning of all medicine carts at end of shift and restocking as needed.  Responsible for weekly deep cleaning of all med carts. Attend and participate in staff training and in-services. Must maintain accurate records to include preparation of all medical charts for new admissions and readmissions and ensures medical record is complete within forty-eight (48) hours as Policy and Procedure (P&P) and regulatory guidelines.

Executive Director – Administrator’s License Required!

Act as the on-site executive for all operations, including being the main point of contact for all staff, residents, prospects, community organizations, government agencies and the public when needed.  Maintains resident retention by working with residents and their families, dealing with any issues that arise. Responds and follows up with all walk-ins, phone-ins, mail-ins timely and appropriately. Keeps up to date with information about competitors. Meets all expectations of meaningful contacts, leases and occupancy. Maintain budget accountability and cash flow; aggressively anticipate and minimize negative budget variances and deficits. Hire, train, discipline, and terminate employees in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporate policy.  Maintain all local, state, and federal licenses for the community. Lead staff meetings.  Promote and protect resident rights; assisting residents to make informed decisions and treating them with dignity and respect.  Become an intricate part of the community in social and civic affairs by representing the community in local, state, and professional organizations.  Manage other support level and management roles as needed. 

Dietary Aide – Full time

Follow and perform duties in adherence to Senior Lifestyle Corporation Dining Policy and Procedures according to the Dining Services Policy and Procedure Manual.   Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures and ensures that foods follow prescribed modified or therapeutic diets, nutrition/hydration requirements and resident preferences.   Assist or serve meals as necessary and in a timely manner assuring that they are palatable and appetizing in appearance as well as accurate in content to the resident.  This will include resident room service as well as service to designated dining areas.  Setup, deliver, and verify accuracy of meal trays, food carts, and dining areas as instructed.  Upon meal completion team member will remove all soiled items/equipment and deliver to the dishwashing area.  Distribute and collect menus as necessary for each meal period. Assist department in obtaining proper food supplies for the next meal.  Assist cooks in preparation of menu items. Prepare and deliver snacks and other items as instructed and assist in inventory control and stocking. All Dietary Department personnel should follow safety precautions to prevent accidents in food preparation according to our accident prevention in food preparation and prevention of back injury policy. Perform kitchen utility duties such as, but not limited to: sweep and mop floors, buss items from dining areas to dish room, wash and clean small wares and equipment. Clean and sanitize work areas, cutting boards, and table tops as well as removing garbage. Keep work areas, clean, dry and free of hazards. Know and adhere to all company and the local, state, and county health department’s regulations. Ensure that all dining areas are clean and safely operating.   Attend all required training, in services, and staff meetings.  Meet all department training standards through Redi-Learning and/or other necessary training modules as required.

Resident Program Assistant

Assist in planning and coordinating all resident activities.  Encourage residents to participate in programs and activities and provide transportation to them as needed. Lead various activities as directed by the Resident Programs Director. Order and maintain supplies for activities as needed.

Full Time Cook

Prepare all food using the daily planner and SLC standard recipes. Work the food line during mealtimes. Ensure that all food meets safety guidelines and that all kitchen areas meet sanitation guidelines. Ensure resident and guest satisfaction by responding quickly to needs and requests.  Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.

Memory Care Coordinator

Promote the company’s Embrace philosophy in all aspects of his/her role for residents, families and staff. Implement and oversee the six unique pillars of Embrace. Daily oversight of the operations in the Memory Care area in partnership with the Memory Care Director and Health and Wellness team.  Lead high-quality innovative programs in Memory Care. This is the positions primary focus. Person will personally lead a minimum of 5-7 programs per day. Assist in planning, coordinating, and evaluating resident activities. Encourage resident participation in programs. Provide education, training, and hands on support to community staff in partnership with the community managers. Implement and monitor programs and process to promote excellence in programming while maintaining a high level of resident/family/staff satisfaction in a fiscally responsible manner.

Personal Support Specialist (PSS) – Full Time

Provide assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living. Follow the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor. Provide emotional and social support to residents. Document daily log of assistance. Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents. Respect residents’ confidentiality. Ensure that resident/family/employee concerns receive timely response and follow up, thus striving to provide a high level of customer satisfaction. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.

Registered Nurse – Per Diem

Wages starting at  $40.00 per hour  with competitive shift differentials. Responsible for medication supervision/administration in compliance with Federal & State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines. May be responsible for the admissions of new residents to include all admission assessments and documentation. Responsible for completing acute and long-term care plans or service plans.  May be responsible for clinical system tracking (i.e. wounds or infection control) under the direction of the Director of Nursing. May be responsible for discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation as indicated.  Provide general consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community. Notify physicians and/or family members of any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation. Respond quickly to all emergencies. Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members. Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
