Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or airless paint spraying equipment. Execute drywall repairs and ensure proper surface preparation before painting. Perform frame carpentry tasks as needed to support painting projects. Utilize power tools safely and effectively for various tasks related to painting and surface preparation. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and perform basic maintenance as required. Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols. Other duties as assigned.

• Plan, develop, and implement resident lifestyle programming within the community as well as through outside trips and events. • Survey and interview residents to determine their past and present interests and talents, as well as their satisfaction with the community’s programs and activities. • Recognize the individuality, diversity, and spirituality of all residents when planning activities and celebrating holiday functions. • Develop relationships with residents to encourage their participation in activities that enhance their quality of and appreciation for life. • Observe residents’ function and behavior and report significant changes or concern to appropriate staff. • Perform work tasks in a manner that preserves each resident’s dignity, privacy, and confidentiality. • Utilize outside community resources and independent contractors to enrich the variety of programs made available to residents. • Develop and manage the annual department budget. • Document and maintain all records as required to effectively manage the department. • Secure and maintain all department supplies and equipment. • Develop and distribute the resident newsletter/calendar and other lifestyle programming communications on a regular and monthly basis conforming to Senior Lifestyle standards. • Work with assisted living department manager in planning daily activities for Assisted Living residents when applicable. • Coordinate outings and weekly transportation schedule with the transportation department. • Work cooperatively with all other departments in planning shared events. • Coordinate volunteers, including their recruitment and training. • Maintain an inviting, functional, and organized program area, including appropriate and seasonal decoration of display areas. • Carry out all responsibilities to residents, families and coworkers in a friendly, courteous and professional manner. • Participate in the Manager on Duty program. • Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings. • Perform other duties as assigned.  

Responsible for the safe administration of medications ensuring the 6 rights of medication administration are followed. Count and document all narcotics that are administered to residents.  Responsible for the total inventory of medications at the community; including but not limited to ordering medications, receiving and verifying medications, storing and dating medications, removing expired or discontinued medications, and notifying the proper parties when medication supply is low. Notice discrepancies regarding medication inventory and report to the appropriate parties.  Responsible for daily cleaning of all medicine carts at end of shift and restocking as needed. Responsible for weekly deep cleaning of all med carts. Responsible for verifying all current MARs are compared to new MARs at change over time. Provide personal care to residents to residents as needed, including bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence care, and eating. Provide general nursing care to include, but not limited to, vital signs, temperatures, blood pressure, and weights. Document appropriate information in the daily log as required.

Full-time positions are available with a set schedule of 3×12 hour shifts on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday nights. Part-time positions are available with a rotating bi-weekly schedule of 2×12 hour day shifts on Sundays and Wednesdays for week 1, and Mondays and Wednesdays for week 2. Take and record vital signs. Measure and record height, weight, and fluid intake/output. Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and importance of reporting such changes to a supervisor. Assist as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living. Transfer, position, and turn residents. Provide skin care. Contribute to the resident’s assessment and the plan of care. Provide nursing rehabilitation/restorative nursing services. Care for residents with dementia. Follow the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor. Provide emotional and social support to residents. Promote and protect resident rights, assist residents to make informed decisions, treat residents with dignity and respect, protect resident’s personal belongings, report suspected abuse or neglect, avoid the need for physical restraints in accordance with the current professional standards, and support independent expression, choice, and decision-making consistent with applicable law and regulation. Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns. Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents. Respect residents’ confidentiality. Familiar with emergency equipment and procedures. Understand duties during a fire drill and is familiar with evacuation plan.     Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings. Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers. Adhere to all policies and procedures of Senior Lifestyle Corporation. Perform other duties as assigned.
