Ensures Bar is fully stocked (including drinks, mixers, alcohol, garnishes, glasses and light bar bites); facilitates ABC orders with Dining Director. Ensured responsible beverage service (no one is overserved). Assists with light food prep. May assist with training other employees. May assist in table service (to fill in as needed). Ensures beverage orders are delivered promptly. Ensures side work is completed for each shift. Takes food orders, presents to kitchen staff and delivers meal to residents and guests in a proper and timely manner in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards. Ensures resident guest satisfaction. Responds quickly to resident or guest requests. Reports any resident comments or concerns to Dining Services Manager immediately. Assists in bussing and resetting tables. Assists in room services as needed. Complies with all state and county health codes for food handling. Attends all in-services training and pre-shift meetings. Handles china, glassware and equipment safely and quietly to minimize breakage. Performs all duties in adherence to Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards. Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices. Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers. Adheres to all policies and procedures of Senior Lifestyle Corporation. Position Summary: This position is responsible for greeting and seating residents and guests in a timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction. This position reports to the Dining Services Manager and/or other staff person assigned by the Director of Dining Services. Essential Functions: • Seat and greet residents with a friendly and welcoming attitude in a timely manner in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards. • Assist wait staff and bussers in serving, bussing and resetting tables. • Report any resident concerns to the Dining Services Manger immediately. • Complete all side work as assigned. • Attend all training in-service seminars and pre-shift meetings. • Assist in special events. • Perform all duties in adherence to Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards. • Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices. • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and coworkers. • Adhere to all policies and procedures of Senior Lifestyle Corporation. • Perform other duties as assigned.

Complete work orders around the community. Perform work and repairs needed to ready apartments prior to move-in’s. Order and organize maintenance supplies as needed.  Complete general maintenance projects, including installations and repairs involving plumbing, electrical equipment, carpentry, painting, equipment repair, snow removal, and landscaping.

Prepare meals from standardized recipes in accordance with order in a timely and attractive manner. Set up food service line and workstations with needed condiments. Ensure all condiments and garnishes that are required are prepared and served with the appropriate foods. Assist in coordinating prep for the following day’s menu. Participate in a pre-meal meeting with food servers to review detail of daily menu.   Assist with training of new kitchen employees. Assist with scheduling of employees within the department.  Assist with food ordering, monitoring inventory and creating the menu cycle. Keep stock rooms, coolers, and freezers clean and ensure that food supply stocks are rotated and that all perishables are labeled, dated, and stored properly. Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food preparation according to state and local health department code requirements. Keep food waste to a minimum by utilizing food storage and food recycling techniques.

Provide assistance as needed with medication reminders (as applicable), bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living. Provide emotional and social support to residents. Document daily log of assistance. Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents. Respect residents’ confidentiality. Ensure that resident/family/employee concerns receive timely response and follow up, thus striving to provide a high level of customer satisfaction. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.

Responsible for medication administration for the residents in compliance with Federal & State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines.  May be responsible for the admissions of new residents to include all admission assessments and documentation.  Responsible for completing acute and long-term care plans or service plans.  May be responsible for clinical system tracking (i.e. wounds or infection control) under the direction of the director.  Provide general consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community.  Notify physicians and/or family members of any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation.  Respond quickly to all emergencies.  Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members.  Provide educational meetings for residents and staff.  Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.  Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.  Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.

Safely and efficiently operate dish washing machine according to procedure manual. Ensure proper soap and rinse chemicals are loaded for washing. Remove from service any dishes, utensils, and glassware that are damaged or broken. Stock delivered food and non-food items. Empty and clear garbage bins and breakdown of boxes. Deep cleaning of kitchen and equipment.     Attend all training and in-service seminars. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment. Perform all duties in adherence to Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards.
