Transport residents and perform community errands as assigned.  Ensure that all residents who use the transportation are returned safely to the building. Assist all residents in and out of the vehicle as needed.  Maintain cleanliness of vehicle by performing and/or scheduling regular interior/exterior cleaning. Report mechanical needs and repairs and assist in coordination to have repairs completed.

Supervise daily operation of dining room(s), events, delivery service and marketplace Ensure resident/guest satisfaction by responding quickly to needs and requests. Ensure room service orders are delivered timely and properly. Ensure smooth and timely opening of the dining room. Assist in producing weekly schedules with budgetary guidelines for service staff. Ensure that there are an adequate number of employees for each shift and ensure that absences are covered. Lead the training of all new dining room employees. Assist service staff during mealtime as needed. Oversee resident billing of food service charges. Manage dining staff.  Work alongside dining staff including serving when necessary.  In absence of the Dining Room Manager, responsible for overseeing dining room staff and operations. 

Maintain sanitary condition of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots, pans, equipment and kitchen in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards. Safely and efficiently operate dish washing machine according to procedure manual. Ensure proper soap and rinse chemicals are loaded for washing. Remove from service any dishes, utensils, and glassware that are damaged or broken. Stock delivered food and non-food items. Empty and clear garbage bins and breakdown of boxes. Deep cleaning of kitchen and equipment.     Attend all training and in-service seminars. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment. Perform all duties in adherence to Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards. Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.

Perform daily housekeeping duties in Lobby, Lower Lobby and common area restrooms. Assist in covering schedules left open due to call outs and vacations. Use cleaning chemicals safely and properly in accordance with department guidelines and assure compliance with local, state, and federal safety standards, MSDS, OSHA, EPA and other relevant rules and regulations. Assist Plant Ops Director in coordinating work orders and special requests including but not limited to, window cleaning, oven cleaning, etc… Preparation/Inspections of apartments for move-ins. Conduct inspection of offices, common space, guestrooms, and residential apartments periodically to ensure best possible housekeeping. Assist Plant Ops Director with monthly inventory orders for all supplies, chemicals, and equipment. Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.

Prepare all food using the daily planner and SLC standard recipes. Work the food line during mealtimes. Ensure that all food meets safety guidelines and that all kitchen areas meet sanitation guidelines. Ensure resident and guest satisfaction by responding quickly to needs and requests.  Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.

Accept food order, communicate to kitchen and deliver food and beverage to residents and/or guests in a timely manner. Ensure resident/guest satisfaction by responding quickly to needs and requests.  Actively buss and reset tables as well as complete assigned side work. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.

Take and record vital signs. Measure and record height, weight, and fluid intake/output. Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and importance of reporting such changes to a supervisor. Assist as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living. Transfer, position, and turn residents. Provide skin care. Contribute to the resident’s assessment and the plan of care. Provide nursing rehabilitation/restorative nursing services. Care for residents with dementia. Follow the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor. Provide emotional and social support to residents. Promote and protect resident rights, assist residents to make informed decisions, treat residents with dignity and respect, protect resident’s personal belongings, report suspected abuse or neglect, avoid the need for physical restraints in accordance with the current professional standards, and support independent expression, choice, and decision-making consistent with applicable law and regulation. Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns. Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents. Respect residents’ confidentiality. Familiar with emergency equipment and procedures. Understand duties during a fire drill and is familiar with evacuation plan.     Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings. Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers. Adhere to all policies and procedures of Senior Lifestyle Corporation. Responsible for medication administration for the residents in compliance with Federal & State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines.  May be responsible for the admissions of new residents to include all admission assessments and documentation.  Responsible for completing acute and long-term care plans or service plans.  May be responsible for clinical system tracking (i.e. wounds or infection control) under the direction of the director.  Provide general consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community.  Notify physicians and/or family members of any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation.  Respond quickly to all emergencies.  Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members.  Provide educational meetings for residents and staff.  Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.  Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.  Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
