Greet residents and provide general assistance to visitors, prospective residents, and families. Answer telephone calls. You may be asked to ensure the safety of the residents and property by monitoring surveillance cameras, door alarms, life safety systems, building alarms and investigating any unusual activity. Process reports for such things as work orders, incidents and concerns. You will receive packages, plants, prescription drugs, etc. and deliver or hold as requested. Maintain the sign in/out log for the issuance of community keys, and gate passes. You will assist other departments with administrative functions. Ensure that resident/family/employee concerns receive timely response and follow up, thus striving to provide a high level of customer satisfaction. Complete work orders around the community. Perform work and repairs needed to ready apartments prior to move-in’s. Order and organize maintenance supplies as needed. Complete general maintenance projects, including installations and repairs involving plumbing, electrical equipment, carpentry, painting, equipment repair, snow removal, and landscaping. Respond promptly to emergencies and after hours calls. Maintain knowledge of all property emergency, safety, and disaster plans/procedures. Maintain office, shop, and storage and ensure that mechanical areas of the community are in accordance with SLC policies. Must be able to work a rotating On- Call schedule.

Attend various community events.

Responsible for medication administration for the residents in compliance with Federal & State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines. May be responsible for the admissions of new residents to include all admission assessments and documentation. Responsible for completing acute and long-term care plans or service plans. May be responsible for clinical system tracking (i.e. wounds or infection control) under the direction of the director. Provide general consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community. Notify physicians and/or family members of any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation. Respond quickly to all emergencies. Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members. Provide educational meetings for residents and staff. Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information. May be responsible for discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation as needed.

Safely and efficiently operate dish washing machine according to procedure manual. Ensure proper soap and rinse chemicals are loaded for washing. Remove from service any dishes, utensils, and glassware that are damaged or broken. Stock delivered food and non-food items. Empty and clear garbage bins and breakdown of boxes. Deep cleaning of kitchen and equipment. Attend all training and in-service seminars. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment. Perform all duties in adherence to Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards. Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.

Provide kind, caring, and consistent companionship and support to residents. Provide assistance, encouragement, and restorative interventions, as needed, for Memory Care residents to be as independent as possible in their activities of daily living including but not limited to: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility. Participate in and lead one on one and group activities. Serve residents during mealtime, assist with memory care laundry, and basic housekeeping within the memory care neighborhood. Ensure that resident/family/employee concerns receive timely response and follow up, thus striving to provide a high level of customer satisfaction. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.
