General cleaning of resident apartments, hallways and other common areas. Assist in preparing empty apartments for resident move-ins. Ensure resident/guest satisfaction by responding quickly to needs and requests.  You may be asked to help respond to resident emergencies. Maintain sanitary condition of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots, pans, equipment and kitchen in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards. Safely and efficiently operate dish washing machine according to procedure manual. Ensure proper soap and rinse chemicals are loaded for washing. Remove from service any dishes, utensils, and glassware that are damaged or broken. Stock delivered food and non-food items. Empty and clear garbage bins and breakdown of boxes. Deep cleaning of kitchen and equipment.     Attend all training and in-service seminars. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment. Perform all duties in adherence to Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards. Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers. Must be able to work some weekends Hours 9a-5p

Prepare all food using the daily planner and SLC standard recipes. Work the food line during mealtimes. Ensure that all food meets safety guidelines and that all kitchen areas meet sanitation guidelines. Ensure resident and guest satisfaction by responding quickly to needs and requests.  Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.

Take and record vital signs. Measure and record height, weight, and fluid intake/output. Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and importance of reporting such changes to a supervisor. Assist as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living. Provide compassionate care for residents with dementia. Transfer, position, and turn residents. Provide skin care to residents. Contribute to the resident’s assessment and the plan of care. Provide nursing rehabilitation/restorative nursing services. Follow the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor. Provide emotional and social support to residents. Promote and protect resident rights, assist residents in making informed decisions, treat residents with dignity and respect, protect resident’s personal belongings, report suspected abuse or neglect, avoid the need for physical restraints in accordance with the current professional standards, and support independent expression, choice, and decision-making consistent with applicable law and regulation. Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns. Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents. Respect residents’ confidentiality. 12 and 8 hour shifts Must be able to work alternating weekends

Greet residents and provide general assistance to visitors, prospective residents, and families. Answer telephone calls. You may be asked to ensure the safety of the residents and property by monitoring surveillance cameras, door alarms, life safety systems, building alarms and investigating any unusual activity. Process reports for such things as work orders, incidents and concerns. You will receive packages, plants, prescription drugs, etc. and deliver or hold as requested.  Maintain the sign in/out log for the issuance of community keys, and gate passes. You will assist other departments with administrative functions. Ensure that resident/family/employee concerns receive timely response and follow up, thus striving to provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
