Director of Dining Services

Follow Company Dining Policy and Procedures and while ensuring that all department personnel are compliant as well.  Responsible for the purchasing of all dining food and nonfood items and ensure all purchases for the department achieve 95% DSSI ordering compliance.  Prepare meals from standardized recipes in accordance with order in a timely and attractive manner. Set up food service line and workstations with needed condiments. Ensure all condiments and garnishes that are required are prepared and served with the appropriate foods. Assist in recipe and menu development.  Coordinate prep for the following day’s menu. Lead a pre-meal meeting with food servers to review detail of daily menu.   Assist with training of new kitchen employees. Balance and maintain budgets for raw food and supplies. Utilize company standard recipes when completing food production for meals. Ensure that food is served at proper temperature and in proper portion sizes to ensure food safety and palatability according to our food temperature policy.   Ensure that residents’ Prescribed Diets are offered when applicable. Drive high satisfaction by offering our residents choice, dignity and independence in dining according to our hospitality and customer service policy.  Ensure operating and cleaning instructions/procedures are developed and implemented for the department.  Perform Pre-meal Dining Stand-Up with service staff to review daily menu details. Know and adhere to all company and the local, state, and county health departments regulations and acts as the community’s dietary representative for any health department or other required inspections; assure compliance, follow-up to assure any deficiencies are immediately corrected. Ensure all dining areas are clean and safely operating, completes monthly Self Sanitation audit according to the sanitation audit tool and operation and sanitation policies.   Interview, manage, train, hire, discipline, and terminate all dining staff personnel as needed. Oversee the scheduling of all food service personnel to maintain compliance with labor budget.

Director of Plant Operations

Hire, train, manage, discipline, and terminate department staff. Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs (TELS and daily checklist). Coordinate compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and guidelines. Coordinate with contractors and venders to make sure insurance and licenses are current. Conduct regular inspections of all Life Safety Systems including fire extinguishers, sprinkler, and alarm systems. Coordinate and perform housekeeping services to assure a high standard of cleanliness both inside and outside the building.  Coordinate annual maintenance and deep cleaning programs for apartments and common areas. Coordinate necessary repairs and maintenance in apartments and common areas including refurbishment for move-ins. Work closely with Executive Director in creating and scheduling capital budgets. Establish and obtain bids for all capital projects.  Coordinate annual maintenance programs for apartments and common areas. Ensure that the outside of the property is maintained including landscaping and snow removal.  Coordinate the removal of garbage and trash for the property. Coordinate department’s staff schedules to ensure the proper maintenance and cleanliness of office public spaces, residential apartments, and grounds. Prepare and follow approved department budget. Maintain inventory control for all general supplies, parts, and equipment. Maintain all required maintenance and housekeeping files. Schedule and conduct training sessions and department meetings. Prepare resident charges/billing for extra services when applicable. Understand and implement the role of the department’s safety and disaster plan.  Head safety committee meetings.

Director of Hospitality

Assist the community’s team members in the achievement of the community’s First Impression goals and help the community’s staff understand how their roles relate to the successful execution of the First Impression. Assist the community’s staff in understanding the most hospitable way to interact with anyone who enters the community, by developing the tools necessary for hospitable customer interaction. Adhere to one standard, every area be it the front of the house or back of the house should be held to the same level of scrutiny.   Maintain an excellent level of hospitality/cleanliness in the Tour Path, by making sure the proper items, events, and interactions (i.e. flowers, photographs, cooking demonstrations, recognition of guest by name by staff) are in place at all times and all events (resident activities/major or minor building repairs) are coordinated appropriately. Deliver the Senior Lifestyle Corporation’s Signature Services and understand that it is a key component to the community’s image. These Signature Services help differentiate the community from its competitors by enhancing the community’s image and level of service.   Play an integral role in the Employee On-Boarding process, by acting as a liaison between the Human Resources Department and the new hire, as well as helping reinforce the expectations/standards that are set for the on-boarding process.  Work with the Dining Staff to support a polished hospitality approach to dining room service. Assist in the coordination and oversight during special community events.  Let the Community’s residents, residents’ families, or out-side entity know that you are there to help fulfill any special request related to their dining experience. Ensure that every department is notified of all new move-ins to help coordinate new resident involvement in appropriate activities and meals.   Support the Hospitality Training the community’s staff.   Take a role in the development and operation of the Ambassador program at the community.  

Concierge

Greet residents and provide general assistance to visitors, prospective residents, and families. Answer telephone calls. You may be asked to ensure the safety of the residents and property by monitoring surveillance cameras, door alarms, life safety systems, building alarms and investigating any unusual activity. Process reports for such things as work orders, incidents and concerns. You will receive packages, plants, prescription drugs, etc. and deliver or hold as requested.  Maintain the sign in/out log for the issuance of community keys, and gate passes. You will assist other departments with administrative functions. Ensure that resident/family/employee concerns receive timely response and follow up, thus striving to provide a high level of customer satisfaction. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – PRN

Responsible for medication administration for the residents in compliance with Federal & State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines.  May be responsible for the admissions of new residents to include all admission assessments and documentation.  Responsible for completing acute and long-term care plans or service plans.  May be responsible for clinical system tracking (i.e. wounds or infection control) under the direction of the director.  Provide general consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community.  Notify physicians and/or family members of any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation.  Respond quickly to all emergencies.  Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members.  Provide educational meetings for residents and staff.  Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.  Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.  Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices. 

Care Associate – Memory Care (MC)

Provide kind, caring, and consistent companionship and support to residents. Provide assistance, encouragement, and restorative interventions, as needed, for Memory Care residents to be as independent as possible in their activities of daily living including but not limited to: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility. Participate in and lead one on one and group activities. Serve residents during mealtime, assist with memory care laundry, and basic housekeeping within the memory care neighborhood. Ensure that resident/family/employee concerns receive timely response and follow up, thus striving to provide a high level of customer satisfaction. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.

Care Associate – Assisted Living (AL)

Provide assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living. Follow the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor. Provide emotional and social support to residents. Document daily log of assistance. Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns. Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents. Respect residents’ confidentiality.
