Our mission statement describes how we aim to not just create a living space for our residents, but to create an environment that truly enriches their daily lives. Meet Wendy Lee, a team member from Lakeshore Manor whose heart of caring allows her to accomplish just that.
“Wendy creates fulfilling lifestyles for our residents here at Lakeshore on a daily basis. It takes residents and associates working together to change the culture, in which Wendy promotes throughout the day. She has a sense of friendship, trust, learning and a closeness that develops from supporting residents in their times of happiness and sadness.”
Wendy’s culture-changing heart of caring is the foundation of the positive attitude she carries throughout all she does to care for her residents. Her ability to stay calm during stressful times and to communicate with residents in a manner that resonates with each individual earned her recognition from her peers as well as her supervisors.
“Wendy always comes to work with a smile and maintains a positive attitude. She puts residents first and when she speaks with them she always has a genuine care and concern for their well-being and their comfort and peace. She respects others and she shows it through her, tone, body language and facial smile. She is always at the top of her game and functions well at multitasking and maintaining peace during times that could be hectic. She deserves the heart of caring award because she is a role model and great example for the team and for others who watch her work. She is pleasant to be around and she is filled with love for our residents. She’s accurate, timely and genuinely caring. She’s a team player and I am thankful she’s on our team!”
“When I have had the pleasure of observing her with each resident when I am M.O.D., she knows all the details about every single one of them. She knows their preferred communication method and understands what comforts each in times of anxiety or stress. She is the epitome of what I would request for professionalism when interacting with family members as well. She is factual, respectful, and yet compassionate at the same time.”
