Sous Chef

To assist in the oversight of daily operations in the kitchen. Works with the Executive Chef to ensure the highest quality food products and kitchen cleanliness in accordance with Company policies and procedures. This position is required to supervise other staff positions. This position will perform the duties of the Executive Chef in his/her absence. • Produce and oversee meals, production and special events for quality assurance of meal presentation and portion control. • Prepare and coordinates all meals from standardized recipes. Ensure production sheets are completed according to the food production sheets policy. • Assist in the coordination of prep for the following day’s menu. • Participate in a pre-meal meeting with food servers to review detail of daily menu. Maintain daily interaction with residents. • Keep stock rooms, coolers and freezers clean and rotated. All food must be covered, labeled, dated and stored in accordance with local, state and county health department policies. • Ensure adequate staffing of culinary employees each shift. • Assist in ordering and inventory. • Assist in the adherence to maintaining budget compliance for daily food costs. Assist in applying appropriate loss prevention procedures. Keep waste to a minimum by utilizing food storage and food recycling techniques. • Assist in training and scheduling of employees in accordance with Company human resources policy. • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food preparation according to state and local health department code requirements. Adhere to personal hygiene policy. • Attend all required training, in services, and staff meetings. Meet all department training standards through regulatory training and/or other necessary training modules as required.

Cook

Prepare all food using the daily planner and SLC standard recipes. Work the food line during mealtimes. Ensure that all food meets safety guidelines and that all kitchen areas meet sanitation guidelines. Ensure resident and guest satisfaction by responding quickly to needs and requests.  Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.

Housekeeper- FULL TIME

General cleaning of resident apartments, hallways and other common areas. Assist in preparing empty apartments for resident move-ins. Ensure resident/guest satisfaction by responding quickly to needs and requests.  You may be asked to help respond to resident emergencies. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.

Maintenance Assistant

Complete work orders around the community. Perform work and repairs needed to ready apartments prior to move-in’s. Order and organize maintenance supplies as needed.  Complete general maintenance projects, including installations and repairs involving plumbing, electrical equipment, carpentry, painting, equipment repair, snow removal, and landscaping.

Resident Program/Activities Assistant

Assist in planning and coordinating all resident activities.  Encourage residents to participate in programs and activities and provide transportation to them as needed. Lead various activities as directed by the Resident Programs Director. Order and maintain supplies for activities as needed.

Concierge-PRN starting at $17

Greet residents and provide general assistance to visitors, prospective residents, and families. Answer telephone calls. You may be asked to ensure the safety of the residents and property by monitoring surveillance cameras, door alarms, life safety systems, building alarms and investigating any unusual activity. Process reports for such things as work orders, incidents and concerns. You will receive packages, plants, prescription drugs, etc. and deliver or hold as requested.  Maintain the sign in/out log for the issuance of community keys, and gate passes. You will assist other departments with administrative functions. Ensure that resident/family/employee concerns receive timely response and follow up, thus striving to provide a high level of customer satisfaction. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.

Scheduling Coordinator

Serve as the key point person for labor management of a multi-level assisted and skilled nursing community. Create and maintain weekly schedules for clinical employees for both the assisted living and nursing home neighborhoods. Improve financial performance by improving efficiency, eliminating redundant work schedules, reducing agency utilization and maximizing in-house shift pick ups.  Handle scheduling conflicts and update team members about schedule changes.  Respect and maintain confidentiality of the office, its records and restricted information.  Responsible for creating and scheduling Nursing Assistants and Nurse’s of the Nursing Department.  Attend various community events.  Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.  Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.  Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.  Adhere to all policies and procedures of Senior Lifestyle Corporation.  Perform other duties as assigned.

Activities Director

Foster a fun work environment centered around celebrating the lives of our residents Plan and lead daily programs within the community Develop opportunities for team members from other departments to create and lead programs  Plan and execute special events for residents in collaboration and partnership with the sales and marketing departments Recognize and honor the individuality, diversity, and spirituality of all residents when planning programs, events and holiday celebrations Develop rapport with residents to encourage participation in community programs and events Acknowledge, understand and promote the SLC wellness model by offering opportunities for residents to experience programming in 7 areas of wellness (physical, social, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, vocational, & environmental)  Develop and distribute a monthly calendar of events and newsletter that meets SLC program and brand standards by the first of each month Organize and lead trips outside the community to enhance the opportunities for residents to remain connected to the greater community  Develop partnerships inside of and outside of the community to enhance program and event offerings Promote the lifestyle at the community through an active social media presence and positive partnership with the sales and marketing departments  Oversee the resident ambassador program Support and participate in setting up the seasonal/holiday décor of the community Responsible for keeping program flyers, bulletin boards and digital signs up to date and meeting SLC and Brand standards.   Perform work tasks in a way that preserve each resident’s dignity, privacy, and confidentiality Responsible for hiring, training, developing and mentoring dept employees in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation Human Resources guidelines Secure and maintain all department equipment and supplies Manage the department budget and expenses Document and maintain all records as required to effectively manage the department
