You may have heard of being in two places at once, but today’s Heart of Caring nominee is a member of our dining team who truly went above and beyond during a period of time where his community needed someone to be two places at once.
“Since he began working for The Addison, Edgar has gone above and beyond in more ways than one. For the past couple of months, Edgar has been working at two SL communities. He has been helping to fill in shifts ate the SL community he left to come to the Addison so that they were not left short-handed, meanwhile learning the ropes and helping the team at The Addison.”
Having just recently celebrated its official ribbon-cutting ceremony, The Addison is a brand new Senior Lifestyle community specializing in assisted living and memory care. The Addison team has spent the past few months working hard to build relationships with the locale community, a process Edgar eagerly jumped into.
“Another way he stood out recently in the area of teamwork was his willingness to drive an hour away to prepare our Chocolate Wednesday treats in the kitchen of the community he used to work for because the kitchen at The Addison was not yet in working order. There were times he would work during the day at The Addison and then work late into the evening making the chocolate treats for The Addison over at the other community. Then he would drive [the treats] to the welcome center early the next morning to deliver the treats and help the sales and marketing team package them up for delivery. He even accompanied the sales team on the first week of Chocolate Wednesday outreach visits so they could meet the person who created the delicious chocolate treats! We are very pleased to have Edgar on tour team. Thank you Edgar!”
