Sometimes it doesn’t take much to make someone’s day brighter. Today’s 100 Days of Heart of Caring feature recognizes a team member from Cottage Landing who gives her heart (of caring!) to make her residents’ days better.
“She is always making each resident feel important in their own way. She always puts the resident first, and never says no. Her answer is always ‘I am on my way!'”
“Kim embraces all values on a daily basis, whether stopping her work to pull up a resident’s socks, jumping in to help other team members members, or even help in the kitchen. Kim always does her job with a smile, and she has the attitude and work ethic that sets a great example for the other team members members.”
The day-in, day-out service Kim provides a perfect glance into the heart of caring she brings to the Cottage Landing team. Her willingness to go above and beyond is appreciated by all, but especially by a few residents who look to Kim for care and kindness.
“We have a few residents that are hard to please…she will go out of her way to see that they are not overlooked or made to feel that their problem isn’t important. She treats everyone with respect and keeps an open mind when they suggest how they want something fixed. She is just a caring, honest, appreciative, respectful person who know the meaning of teamwork. She is a perfect example of CHART.”
