Today’s nominee is known for her caring, her compassion, and her singing! Meet Maria Esther from Royal Estates of El Paso, a “song bird” with a heart of caring that earned her a nomination for this year’s Heart of Caring award.
“Esther has been employed as a server for Royal Estates of El Paso for over 5 years. She enjoys her work and it is not unusual to hear her singing or whistling as she works. Her main focus is to engage the resident in conversation and says that if she can get them to forget their troubles for just a little while she has made a difference in someone’s life. She has on occasion been called a little song bird by the residents.”
Residents and team members alike also recognized Maria Esther for her ability to treat everyone with respect and dignity, going above and beyond to develop relationships with residents built on kindness and compassion.
“I believe that Esther is an employee that we would all like to have in our communities. She is a team player, offering to step in when need be. She is respectful of everyone, she comes to do her work, minds her own business and does not waste time on pettiness. She is well liked by everyone employees and residents alike. She always has a smile on her face. Esther works hard and is dedicated to her job.”
